Other guides may vary from this one. It does not mean that theirs or this one are wrong. This guide was just my way of making money, leading me to make a more than proficient amount in just a few days. You are free to either follow this one or others, or even try both.
Step 1:
Depending on your level, skill, or type (skiller or pure) there are several ways you could get started with. For the first step, you need to get some starting money.
Method 1a (collecting items):
Kill chickens.
- North and east of Lumbridge, south of Varrock, southeast of Falador - check your RuneScape World Map for more locations
- Collect the feathers
- Sell at G.E. for about 5-15 gp each
Start the Dragon Slayer quest.
- Located at Lumbridge Castle
- Repeatedly talk to the Duke
- Get a full inventory of Anti-Dragon Shields
- Bank just upstairs
- Sell at G.E. for about 200-600 gp each
Method 2a (skilling):
Fishing.
- Go to Karamja (bring at least 30 gp for ship ride)
- Go north of banana plantation to fishing spots
- Either use harpoon or lobster pot
- Go slight south and west until you meet up with Stiles
- Located just south of Karamja volcano
- Stiles will turn your fish into bank notes for you
- Raw tunas sell for 100-300 gp each, raw lobsters for 250-300 gp each, and raw swordfishes for 200-400 gp each
Woodcutting.
- Recommened to have at least woodcutting level 80+ (only 60 is needed though)
- Go to a non-populated or foreign world on RuneScape
- Chop yew trees to the east of the Grand Exchange, north of Varrock castle
- Yew logs sell for about 400-600 gp each
Step 2:
Now that you've made an adequate amount of cash, the next step to becoming "rich" is to (unless you have an extremely high combat level) wish for luck. In which this case, it means that the second part to making millions is patience.
Method 1b (merchanting):
Some items on RuneScape will always be at high demand. By watching the rise and fall of prices (on the official RuneScape website's service pages) you should be able to buy at the lowest and sell at the highest. Here are some "in demand" items to watch out for:
- Logs (maple, yew)
- Runes (death, chaos, fire, water, air)
- Ores (iron, gold, coal)
- Arrows (iron, steel, adamant)
- Rune Weapons (especially scimitars)
- Rune Armour (platebodies and full helms)
Method 2b (high alching):
High alchemy is a spell in RuneScape that is unlocked at level 55 magic and can be used at the cost of 5 fire runes and 1 nature rune to turn objects into cash. This is not a recommended way to make money due to the little amount of profit that can be made unless you are alching in high amounts. It is however, a great way to train magic.
If you are to alch, be sure to always add the cost of fire/nature runes and cost of alching itmes (items to be alched) and subtract it from the amount made from the item alched [or A - ( F + N + I ) = P].
Items needed to Alch:
- Fire staff
- Nature Runes
- Nature staff is not recommended due to only saving 1 nature rune out of 10, which would exceed the cost of fire runes + nature runes for every 10 spells then just using nature runes (although it seems that it could save runes, it does not unless nature runes exceed 850gp each)
- Explorer's ring 4 (optional, provides 15 free alching spells daily)
List of suggested items to Alch:
- Adamant platebodies (only if you have a lot of money)
- Adamant 2h swords
- Adamant maces
- Adamant battleaxes
- Rune scimitars
- Rune plateskirts

Step 3:
Great that you've made it this far! You should have at least 500k-1m by now from following the guide. If not, go back and continue as the next part will require it. This final part of the guide will include some risks, more patience, and sometimes even fun. If you do not like what you are about to read and feel that you should stay on the "safe side", then feel free to stick with the first two steps.
Method 1c (bot killing):
There's really only one way that of bot killing that still works in the f2p worlds, killing the Karamja fishing bots! However, due to some updates (items kept on death), this may or may not work anymore.
- Go to where Stiles is located on Karamja (stated somewhere above)
- Recommended to have a buddy to help you
- Keep the scorpions there close to the shore, where bots walk by
- Stand so that one person is near Stiles and that one is a little further east
- Watch the bot die
- Loot noted fish when fire appears
- Sell / profit
Make sure you actually have a lot of money you're willing to risk here! To me, this is will be a lot of fun. I've actually done this many, many times. The doublers' reactions only get funny and funnier.
- Recommended to look rich (convince the doublers you have money, wear like Saradomin or Zamarok rune armour)
- Find a doubler at the Grand Exchange
- Tell him/her that you don't trust him/her and to first do a test
- Risk 10k-50k (I would strongly suggest 10k if it's your first couple of times, 100k if you're really good at convincing)
- Gradually move up with the tests (recommened only up to 2 more, the doubler might get smart and scram)
- Make sure that with each test, that you make an uproar of it and "advertise" to other people such as "Wow! You really weren't kidding! This guy actually doubled me!"
- Tell him/her that it had been a great time, but that now you have to go
- Watch as he/she rages about you scamming them!
- Tell him/her that you didn't scam him/her, since he/she was the one doubling!
Congrats!
You've reached the end of this guide! I hope that it was at least somewhat helpful on your part. In no time, you should be able to make millions at a time. Most of all, I hope that you'd at least had some fun (the last part at least)!
